No, this isn’t a portrait of Michael Jackson, lol. It’s actually a self-portrait that I conjured from a photo I took a few years ago. I used to be extremely shy as a kid. It’s worn off maybe by 35% (ha ha).
My hair is, at times, very massive and somehow I feel as if I can hide behind it. Oxymoronic, right? If anything my hair draws attention. Not because it’s all that great but, just because it can be a shocker at times (… especially since it’s now red) .
Any who, here’s my shot at, Shy.
Without further ado, Haunt! I’m my head, I visualized Leo haunting Mona. Why, you ask? I have no clue. It seemed fitting so I went with it, LOL.
I became I little lazy towards the end and pretty much gave up on the shading. But, I don’t totally hate it. It’s OK… I guess.

Why, hello there!
I haven’t done much posting or illustrating lately because my artsy (spidey) sense has gone haywire (aka schizophrenic). I’m easily distracted by other genres/form of art. So, I’ve been doing a little sewing here and there. Oh! annnd my computer stroked on me. Talk about a devastating week! Geesh. All is good now, though .
But in the midst, I decided to take a pause for the cause and enter another Threadless contest that I just couldn’t pass up! Since this one was purely done on a whim. No prep whatsoever. Just a cursor to the screen. I decided to go with what I know and love; circles! I never thought the design would be so well accepted. I was truly overwhelmed and flattered by the response and support!
The core of my artsiness (if you will…) is based on simplicity. Gradients and tumultuous amounts of line work are not always necessary (especially in the an environment that should be tension-free and calming, in this case). Therefore, this design embodies the very essence of me. Simple, literal and straight to the point! Too much? K, moving on…
So without further ado, “Sound of Music”
